As the name suggests, a shopping bag is a bag used for shopping. Currently, the main types of shopping bags available on the market include plastic shopping bags, non-woven shopping bags, paper shopping bags, and cotton-linen shopping bags. The newly released national standard for plastic shopping bags classifies plastic shopping bags into the following three categories:
They are made from polyolefins and fillers. This type of plastic shopping bag does not have degradable properties and will not decompose even when discarded in the open environment. However, it has excellent recyclability and can be recycled and reused multiple times. Although the performance of recycled materials will decrease to some extent, they can still be used to produce shopping bags or garbage bags that have low performance requirements and no strict color specifications. The key issue lies in whether these bags can actually be recovered for recycling.
This type of shopping bag uses modified starch as the main raw material, with a small amount of other degradable materials added appropriately to improve its performance. After use, when discarded in the open environment, this plastic shopping bag can be naturally degraded.
Produced using fully degradable plastics as raw materials, this type of shopping bag has complete degradability. When the product is discarded in the open environment, it can be completely degraded into small-molecule microorganisms without causing any environmental pollution. Such plastic shopping bags are widely promoted in foreign countries.
In addition, there is another type of shopping bag: non-woven shopping bags. So, how should non-woven shopping bags be washed?
1.Non-woven fabric is a new generation of environmentally friendly material, featuring water repellency, breathability, flexibility, non-combustibility, non-toxicity, non-irritation, and a rich variety of colors. When it gets dirty, it can certainly be washed with water, but after washing, it should be dried (either by machine or air-dried) quickly.
2.When drying or blow-drying it, try to keep the temperature as low as possible. This is because non-woven materials tend to decompose when soaked in water for a long time. The repeated use of non-woven shopping bags greatly reduces the pressure of waste conversion.
3.Do not use a brush to scrub when washing, as this will cause the bag to become fuzzy and look unsightly. Therefore, it is recommended to wash it gently by hand. However, it is extremely important to note that you should not use other cleaning agents, to avoid causing corrosive damage to the non-woven shopping bag.
